The Terrain of Possibilities

The Terrain of Possibilities is based on a just system of tuning, specifically developed for this piece. The sound sources include Indonesian metal instruments, Korean bronze chimes, the tam-tam (or gong) bowed and struck, as well as various Western percussion instruments, a piano, and a voice. The title comes from the poem "Falling Light" by S. L. Hough.
